The 8th annual Collaborating for Education and Research Forum was held on Saturday, January 31st, from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM in the Jordan Hall of Science on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Breakfast and lunch was be provided, as were certificates for 5 professional growth points for K-12 teachers and administrators.
This year's Forum focused on understanding, planning and implementing best practices in STEM teaching and learning. ND's Dr. Matt Kloser provided some insight into the research basis behind the idea of best practices. We were surrounded by opportunities to collaborate around STEM teaching and learning, some of these introduced in presentations and many more represented in our lunchtime collaboration bazaar. Small group discussions stimulated thought and action around collaborative opportunities rooted in best practices.
