Hi, all. this is a workspace for the New Carlisle LIGO workshop group.
Here is a map that you can edit. To begin with, just find a USGS-verified earthquake, and plot its location on this map. Figure out how to edit the map, enter data (perhaps earthquake longitude and latitude data) to zoom in on a particular place, how to save your quake location, and how to edit the call-out box associated with each quake. Later we'll have this process automated, and we'll create placemarks for quakes just by entering data in a form. But it's nice to know what the automated process is actually doing by doing it once yourself, first. So find a quake and enter it on this map, first.

If you want, you can edit the map widget, grab the code, and put that code (and thus this map) inside your own wikispace page. Your page is linked from your initials, just below. Just use the "widget" button in the edit bar, and you can put all widget code in the "other" box at the bottom of the widget edit menu. (A widget is a small piece of "code", or instructions to your computer, to accomplish a small function, such as displaying a particular map.)
